During Women’s History Month, people celebrate and reflect on the courage of women in past generations and celebrate how their efforts afforded women the opportunities and freedoms they have today.
But some think it’s a celebration that shouldn’t just be limited to March.
“We need to celebrate it every month for the strong women out there,” says Joumana Mcdad, executive vice president and chief strategy and innovation officer at $55 million asset One Detroit Credit Union.
In this episode of the CUNA News Podcast, Mcdad and Casey Kucera, chief financial officer at $883 asset Jefferson Financial Federal Credit Union in Metairie, La., spoke about Women’s History Month, women who have inspired them, their role as leaders, and mentoring the next generation of female leaders.
